1. I pretty much agree with everyone's interpretation. It's saying that she doesn't care what people think of her and she never will. She'll always put it passed her and that's what she wants everyone to do. She wants people who are hurt and pushed around to keep rising and to not let it bother them no matter what because in the end they're just jealous and immature. She loves herself and so do the people she cares about and no one else matters. She will continue to do what makes her happy and she won't let anyone's judgments change her views. She wants everyone to live that way and everyone to be happy with themselves. She will continue to reach for the stars and no one will ever be able to stop her!
2. I really liked this poem because of its message. It's so inspirational and so is Maya. It made me really happy and feel more confident than ever before! This is a great message that I'll always remember throughout my life. It says I should never let someone ruin me or kill my dreams which is the total truth! This is great for young kids to look at because it could really help them out if they need it. This was really motivational and everyone should live by this.
3. Answer to Roe's Q2: Yes I felt a lot more confident than ever before after reading this. Even though I already knew the concepts she was talking about, it gave me even a bigger outlook on it. It made me really think about it and believe it. I'll be sure to stand by what she was saying and try to get others to do it, too. It was so inspirational and motivational. This had such a great message that boosted my confidence way up.
My Question: Would you have the courage to say what Maya had said if you lived during her time?
