The literary piece I found most interesting was "Mother to son" by Langston Hughes. I thought this piece was the most interesting because I could apply the meaning to myself. When the mother was telling her son how life gets tough, I thought of how my Dad tells me that life is hard and that in order to succeed, hardwork and persistence has to be applied. The poem also just inspired me to work harder and to never be satisfied with where I am at because there is always room for improvement. This poem had also been the most interesting thread for me as well. I enjoyed reading everyone's ideas and contributions to the piece, I also thought that the discussion flowed well.
